Hello!
I'm new here, and i'm sort of new too in Revit.
I think I haver a problem or i'm missing a step.
I impoted a autocad drawing and everything was ok.
I imported again but that second drawing is nowhere in sight!! I just can't see the new attached drawing.
What I tried to do then is paste the content of the second dwg to the first imported BUT I can't find any place where I could reload the first dwg.

BTW I'm using Revit Arch 2009

What can I do?

Hi and welcome :-)
Not sure if I understand teh problem completely, but you have brought in a dwg drawing in one view and can't see it on others?
If so, remember you only need bring it in once. It's still there, and trying to re-insert it into other levels won't work. Revit recognises it's already there. What you need to do is to extend that particular view to see it.

So:
1. Right click anywhere in the view where you want to see it. A Mini-Menu will appear
2. Select "View Properties". The Element Properties window appears.
3. Under "Instance Paramenters" scroll down to "View Range". Select "Edit
4. These choices show the cutting plane and the zone of view form that cutting plane AND the View Depth.

You would have inserted the dwg into a particular view and that is the depth you select for as long as you wish to see the dwg. Remember you may wish to change this back at a later stage.

A few things you can do:
if you linked the file as appose to Importing it, you should be able to control it through the Manage Links.
make sure you turn off view crops and zoom extent your view, it could be outside the view crop.
zoom out and draw a selection box around all your elements, use the view filter to isolate your dwg.
it could be set to background and hidden behind elements.
make sure it is imported in the right scale and not too small for you to see.

Tip:
I always (almost) use the Link option, that way I can always see the DWG in the manage links.
