from your view tab select schedules -->schedules/quantities--> door schedule etc.
you can also create a legend should you want a graphical representation of doors and windows...

May I suggest going through some tutorials and other Revit documentation? It's good that you participate in these forums, but there is lots of useful information readily available from Autodesk and other sources - such as these video tutorials and user documentation here:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=14996975
This should help you with most of your basic questions and issues.

What a pain not to be able to tag windows and doors on Legends. It's such an obvious requirement.
Look forward to seeing this in Revit 2012 (but have a long wait) :(

You need to search on other threads. Making the legend views "tagable" will actually break other needs for legends. What Autodesk needs to do is provide a second type of legend view that is agable, and that you can adjust instance parameters of object in. It'll take both od these items to make a tagable legend worth while, while preserving the original type of legend as well.

Yeah we also discovered that note block symbols will not populate the note block when placed in a legend. Factory says that's because the legend should be there for making a legend of symbols, not for placing a symbol that refers to a note about something else in the legend.
