is it possible to create more views? ok now what i mean by this is it possible to create another view without duplicating an already existing view. that way if i place symbols or turn off objects in my "new" View it will not effect the other views.

I am not sure what you mean? That is the whole point of duplicating a view. An object turned off in one view does not affect any of the other views. Symbols, notes, dimensions, etc...are all view specific.
