I have had this warning (attached), when upgrading from 2010.

Basically telling me that my plan regions were using a deleted level to define their work planes.

I think the error is basically telling me that Revit has found an issue with the plan regions and it's going to 'correct itself'; however, we have not deleted any levels in the project, so I don't really know why this would be happening...

This has happened on two project upgrades - both with 'plan regions' in them. It doesn't seem like anything is wrong once the file is upgraded, but I wanted to throw this one out there just in case anyone has come accross it and has seen an issue.

Sorry, I can't offer much other than to say that we've seen extremely buggy/weird behavior with plan regions in 2011. Just really weird stuff like elements appearing and disappearing in other parts of the same view, and wall joins changing depending on the plan region settings. It's entirely possible the weirdness is related to when we upgraded the project to 2011 - I probably skipped through warning messages similar to the one you posted. Haven't had an opportunity yet to see if they're behaving better with Update 1.

iru,

thanks for the reply, hopefully this will spark some conversation. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but just in case I am going to file a formal support request with our reseller. All of our projects use plan regions and they are incredibly important.

I also saw the same message when upgrading a project containing plan regions. After the upgrade completed, all plan regions looked correct, were still in place, and I did not see any deleted levels. So who knows. I just went on with my work.

thanks patricks... appreciate the reply.

Another error I forgot mention that came along with this one, only during the upgrade process, was concerning deleted balusters. At first I was really worried about this because of dimensioning on some of our views, but I didn't get any deleted dimensions warning as well. Again, from actually looking at the views, all seems to be ok.

Anyone seen this one as well?

A similar error occured when upgrading a project from Revit Structure 2010 to Revit Structure 2011 "one or more dimensions references are or have become invalid". In this case a number of shaft openings were deleted.
