2004DX service pack woes

Has anyone had problems getting the service packs installed in this version????...I get to the point where I am prompted for my cd and then even after browsing it cannot find the .msi file it needs (so it says).....I am running on a new computer XP Pro ser pack 1, but had similar problems getting it to install on my other system that crashed and burned......what is the correct file path on the cd?????..also has anyone have issues with XP service pack 2........HELP.....lol.....thx folks

This is Autocad Mechanical 2004DX ......I have been trying to install the service packs (groups of *hotfix's*) from autodesk. There are two service packs or updates for this product. I have tried using the communication center and also just downloading them from the autodesk website with the same results each time. I have also downloaded them here to a cd and tried installing them at work in case there was a problem with our firewall at work......I have tried installing from administrator in Win Xp and user in case there was a permission problem. thx for any help you can give:)
