Form area and paint area

I'm wondering if there is anyone who has managed to schedule the paint area for columns and beams? I want to be able to get the area of a column that should be painted with fireproofing paint.

Secondly I'm trying to figure how to be able to schedule form area for concrete structures. Is there anyone who got an idea of how to do this?

Have you tried using the Material Takeoff Schedule Type?
Add the Material:Area field....This is the surface area of the elements.

Note: It includes all faces of the element (not only side, but top and bottom etc)

First

Because with the current OOTB content, due to their being 2 solids when you do a material take off it may take the wrong one as the area.

Second for formwork, we use massing and specialised panel families.
Works a treat.
