I want to assign an Occupancy to the room, and get the appropriate Occupancy Load Factor automatically, i.e. using a Key Schedule. But I also want that OLF to show up in the Room tag, so it needs to be a Shared Parameter.
I tried adding the shared parameter directly to the Key Schedule, and that seems to not be an option. And I thought I remember a reference to a formula driven Shared Parameter approach (Steve Stafford I think, but I couldn't find anything on his web site), but I can't seem to get that to work either.

So, anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Gordon

The only way its doable is a Calculated value, and a Shared Parameter, next to each other in a schedule. Then its manual copy and paste. The only remotely saving gace part about it, is you can set up another schedule called "compare" and tell it to subtract the CV from the SP, or vice versa. Filter the schedule by result = 0. It should be zero. Tell the schedule to only show something if its NOT zero. Then make it big and ugly, and drop it on your drawing. Hypothetically, the schedule never exists. If your drawing gets ugly suddenly, you know to go fix the values somewhere. :)

HAH! I have to say, I like this idea of having it be null UNTIL there's an issue, and then it rears its ugly head until resolution. MUCH more realistic than asking a team to keep rechecking a schedule on their own. Nice one, Aaron!
