ECW upgrade

I am trying to find a way of inserting ECW files in AutoCAD 2004. Any one know of a way?

Vanilla Autocad doesn't support ECW images. You will need to have Map or Raster Design. If you are running R14, there is a plug-in available from ER Mapper (http://www.ermapper.com/downloads/download_view.aspx?PRODUCT_VERSION_ID=147).

They also do a free plug-in for AutoCAD 2000, 2000i & 2002 -

I couldn't find anything for AutoCAD 2004 or 2005 :(

Thanks, I found the plug-ins for 2000-2002 but sadly..I tried and they don't work on 2004...maybe I shouldn't have upgraded from 2002 last month.

You could try using the ER Viewer (http://www.ermapper.com/downloads/download_view.aspx?PRODUCT_VERSION_ID=48) to save the file out to a tiff format. Then you could bring that into AutoCAD.
