When printing a set of pdfs from Revit (2010) into seperate files it takes a really long time. If I plot them from Revit as a combined file, the computer locks up.

Additionally, when the seperate files are finally finished, if I select them all and try to combine them with acrobat, it freezes up.

It seems Revit is producing these pdf files in a manner that makes them really difficult to deal with.

Anyone have similar issues or know of any solutions?

What type of sheets and how much nfo is on them? I haven't had a computer lock up dealing with PDFs but I have noticed that sheets that are very graphically intense will take the PDF driver longer to process during the writing stage and Acrobat also bogs down manipulating those sheets after they are created.
Adittionally, are you writing them to your hard drive or a network location? If network it could be a bandwidth problem.

Actually the problems seems to be with the "higher" setting in Raster or Vector modes. If I print in "medium" the pdfs are produced within seconds compared to 30 to 45 minutes. Seems absurd that the difference between the two would be so much.

Hey there,
This is another good reason to upgrade to 2011. PDF files print better it seems.
