Help: Raster artifacting

Whenever exporting raster images from 2011 I have issues with artifacting. Occurs with any raster export as well as "print to pdf." See attached. If I export directly from the rendering dialogue I have no problem, if I save image to project and then export to jpg... problems. I tried the same file on another machine without any problems, so I believe its a local issue. Anyone else seen this issue?

Just discovered that raster images are not printing on our full sized plotter but will show up on 11x17 prints... thoughts?

Hi Eliot,

I know there were a number of users who were having similar problems to what you are describing and there are a number of thread from a few months ago which dealt with those issues in some detail. If you haven't already done so, it might be worth having a quick search to read more fully on how others have resolved it.

From what I can remember, the basic problem was with some, but not all, pdf printers and with some older plotters which were using old drivers.

For myself, I use PDF Creator and have had no problems printing to pdf. My Plotter is a Canon IPF650 and it also works fine. For A3 and smaller, I have a Xerox Docucentre C250 photocopier & it too prints perfectly.

Which pdf printer and which plotter are you using?

Thanks for the guidance. Rolled back and then reinstalled latest video drivers and now save to jpeg and print to pdf are working as expected. Now I just need to find the latest drivers for the KIP.
