I have just got a new computer running windows 7. After installing my autocad and copying old work files I now find that I have multiple copies of folders which appear to be screwing up my loading of support files. has anyone else seen anything like this?

I've never seen that on Win7, but then I stay far away from Adobe.

I find it strange that you can open the "Documents and Setting" folder.

I have seen that when highlighting a group of files or folders the slightest mouse movement starts the "copy to here" mode but I doubt that would explain the OP's situation.

Possible virus maybe? Have you connected to a device or the internet before you put on an anti-virus program? I have never seen file replication like this from default. I have mate that created a folder replication script before that kept creating a folder within a folder, so that is why I believe it could be a virus.

There isn't a "Documents and Setting" folder in Windows 7. ;)

Sure about that?
Windows 7 64bit....If "Show hidden files, folders and drives" is selected in Folder Options you see a lot of your old favorites....and they have locks on them

It's not a folder, it's a junction point (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756982.aspx)

Its still a type of folder... which is still supposed to be denied to everybody based on your link.... ;)

I would say it's more like a super shortcut, but either way it just adds to the weirdness of the OP issue. Think we would need more info to have a chance of figuring it out.
