Hi All,
Not sure if this can be done but i need to create a concrete stair with a stepped soffit. Basically the soffit is to follow the line of the treads and risers at a consistent thickness.
Is this possible? I an sure I have seen this done before but for the life of me I can;t seem to find an example of it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey there
yeah, tried that but no dice.
Something is not quite right me thinks.....
Any other suggestions?

oops yeah that only refers to winder landings on L or U-shaped stairs.
I'm not sure how to do it. Seems like I've seen it done in old tutorials and help files.

Try creating the stairs just out of treads. For riser type select none. If desired select none for nosing.
Then increase the tread thickness to twice the riser height, and see if that gives you the look you want. You can also turn off the stringers if desired.

You may need to resort to inplace modeling... I'm finding that more and more necessary for our projects (though I try to pull as much out into a loadable family as I can).

Thanks guys,
I am really looking forward to the day that stairs, ramps and rails are resolved in Revit.
