View Full Version : Export to Autocad
There used to be a way to export a whole project to 1 Autocad file instead of a hundred little files. I can't seem to achieve this in 2011, the help file states that I should tick off the Xref views on sheets and it should create 1 single file. This doesn't happen for me. I am using the latest version of Revit with service pack.

I don't think that option applies to exporting to .dwg. It is available for DWF, as an option to produce one DWF per view, or all the views in one single DWF.
No that option is available for dwg, I have checked this. I checked to see if the tick box is available and I have looked it up in the help files to get an explination as to what it does.

It sounds like you are refering to two different things. The xref views on sheets will create a sheet file and xrefs or it if unchecked it will create the sheet as one file using PS/MS only. This only appplies to exporting sheets. What you mentioned was exporting the entire project to one .dwg file. I don't think its possible to send an entire project (model and sheets) to one .dwg file. Although if you want just model geometry you can switch to a 3D view and do an export and you'll get a .dwg file containing all of the project geometry.

Its not possible. You can get one .dwg per SHEET, or one Modeled .dwg with no sheets. Or one .dwf with all the Sheet Views.
Its not possible to get one .dwg with all the sheets, and it never was.
