View Full Version : Filled region won't print with shadows on in elevations

We are using an old HP Design Jet 250C (A0) and I am having great difficulty in printing elevations with shadows. The white, opaque, solid fill region seems to disappear. I've tried deleting the printer and re-loading it but the only difference that has occurred is the solid fill shows up to a line but not all of it.
Please help!

Hi Chris,
I've actually tried doing that as well and still no change.

Hi Belinda,
Try this ...
set printing to colour not black and white.
set number of colours to printer setting.

Hi Beegee,
I just tried that and it didn't work either. The whole print came out black. I even tried all different combinations of setting the printer settings.

Is it the white opaque solid region region that is causing problems ?
What happens if you set the fill to " no pattern" instead of solid fill ?

Beegee,
I tried changing the fill pattern to all sorts of different patterns but still no change. It is just the fill pattern that's causing the problem. I really believe the printer just can't read it. I've tried different drawings and everything.

Print to PDF and then print that?

Hi Aaron,
I thought for sure that would work but the same thing has occurred. It's only when the shadows are on in elevation.

Use computer to generate? I have a HP350C and have no problems with it... it is a 1998 unit.
