Hi,

I have transparent PNG files which appear correctly in Revit 2009. However, when I print to a PDF, the transparency disappears and the transparent areas become white blocks--blocking out parts the surrounding drawing.

What's the trick to get PNGs to remain transparent when creating a PDF?

Thanks,
Derek

Using "raster processing" in the print dialogue box seems to work, except that I lose the vector crispness of my drafted lines.

Five and a half years later, this is still an issue in Revit. Even with a 32-bit PNG, transparent areas print as "white" either to my printer or to a PDF. Is there a solution?

How did you generate the png.
I just created a one and it's working fine printing as raster.

The PNG, created in Photoshop, works fine, except for the part that's supposed to be transparent. The transparency works on screen but prints (or saves as PDF) as white.
