Play with time of day, year, you should get better shadow casting.

Also another tip: under the 'Sun & Sky Settings' there are two settings on the 'Settings' tab under 'Intesity'; The 'Sun' setting controls that amount of direct light from the sun, whereas the 'Sky' setting controls the amount of 'ambient' light in your scene (which, in your case, would be the amount of light within a shaded area, like under your eaves).
These settings go from 1.0 (100%) to 0.0 (0%).
By playing with these settings you may be able to get more shadow in that area. Lower the 'Sun' setting to 75% or 50% while keeping the 'Sky' setting at what it currently is and see what happens. In my experance, the higher the 'Sun' setting the more intense your shadows and contrast; but the more 'flat' the image appears; whereas the higher the 'Sky' setting is the lower the contrast is within the scene (which is sometimes very helpful to fake exterior Radoisty, something Accurender isn't any good at).

To add to Jeffreys tip: I find that adding a level of cloudiness ( also in the Sun & Sky settings) helps a lot to give some depth to the shadow areas and to take that stark oversaturation out of the scene.
cheers
