I'm having some issues with the rooms in my model....to make a long story less long, here is an outline of how things went down:
-We are working on an existing building, so there are walls that are new and walls that are existing. For our existing conditions documentation I had placed the rooms as "new construction." Over the next few months as we've been making changes with out minding the rooms, since their program and number will stay the same even though some walls will be moving.
-Asked someone to place a "dumb" room tag in the demo plans so we can use the smart ones in the new work plans.
-They decided to change the room phase to "existing." After that when I tried to delete any walls - new or existing - I would get an message saying "a serious error has occured" and was given the option to 'save and contitue' or 'continue without save.'
-I deleted all the rooms in the project, which allowed me to delete the walls without any error message.

This leads to our next hurdle: Now when I try to place a room, I'm getting that error message again. I've tried auditing, I've tried purging. I think the problem is strictly room related since Revit also won't allow me to apply a color scheme by room name, even though I set one up a couple months ago.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem are appreciated. Thanks!

Do you still have any rooms in the project? If you create a rooms schedule can you see any?
