Create Room Tag Room Number

How do I create a Room Tag that shows Room Number only No Name. I did this awhile back for a space tag but can't get it to work for room tag.

How do I create a Room Tag that shows Room Number only No Name. I did this awhile back for a space tag but can't get it to work for room tag.

You need to add a visibility parameter to the label and manage that through the types.

Or if you're new to Revit and don't have a handle on creating parameters yet (It was one of the things that took me longest to figure out) you can just make a new family. "Edit Family" on the room tag you have, Save As a different filename, delete the label, and reload into the project.

It's not really the proper way to use Revit but it might be quicker if you've never created parameters before.
