Dissapearing Xrefs when binding

Hi All,

We are currently suffering an issue with AutoCAD 2008 whereby when we attempt to bind almost every reference file into a plot sheet the said Xref disappears into the AutoCAD abyss.
In some instances even after several attempts to manually purge and audit every Xref attached, the only method we have found so far to resolve the issue is to run a recoverall on the host file and that has allowed us to then bind without an issue.


Has anyone got any ideas?

We have had problems trying to do all the xref's at one time. Try binding one xref at a time, save, reopen the file and do the next xref. Make sure that none of the nested xref's are on a layer that is frozen.

yeah, difficult one, but sometimes the guys struggle with this issue when the units of the xrefs differ from the main drawing units, eg unitless and meters. Worth a check.
