Import DWG lines display wrong

I've linked a DWG file that was created in Civil 3D. The lines are not displaying correctly (blue lines in the screen cap), what would cause this?

That happens when the drawing is too far away from 0,0,

So you need to relocate your Project Base Point...

Thanks, guys. I figured that was the problem but I set up the shared coordinates with my civil consultant and the survey point is very far away. This is the first time for both of us using Revit and Civil 3D together. Sounds like we are doing this wrong?
