Shortcut for Switching to Main Model? (design options)

Is it possible to create a shortcut to switch back to the main model while working in a design option? I couldn't find anything under the shortcut editor (RAC 2011.) Would this be an API question?

In 2011 you've got the design option drop-down window at the bottom center of the status bar, which allows you to avoid the ribbon menus, and toggle between the options & main model.

Have you seen that?
