Hi,
I have created a custom profile for a slab edge. The problem is how its being represented on the floor plans. The profile of the slab edge generates multiple dashed lines but I only want to show one of the edges of the profile and not all the true edges.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Yes

You have to modify the revit.ini file to show the correct level of display you wish to acheive. I know there is something around here on it so do a search, alternatively you can check out BIM & BEAM blog as they posted something on it a while back. Wish I could dig up a link but flat out busy sorry.

Hi, I tried the Graphic settings in the Ravit.ini file and the article in the BIM & BEAM blog just explanes how to control hidden line visibilaty in beams and not in Profiles.
Maybe I can creat my slabedges as a Beam instead. I will give it a try. Thx.

Here is the blog post m20roxxers is referencing:

http://bimandbeam.typepad.com/bim_beam/2008/05/slab-edge-hidde.html

Its a bit of a backdoor workaround solution but a solution just the same.

I guess i been a bit unclear. My problem is that I don't want All or Nothing. I want to decide which of my hidden lines will show on the plan. Is this possible?

Thanks for the replies!

If you see there are 4 options to allow you to pick the option your after.

If this is not what you need you will need to create beams that contain hidden detail lines to simulate what your asking for.
