Editing Department Names

Hello,

I have created area Plans with Color schemes by Department, if I want to edit the name of a Department is like a new department is being created and Revit assigns a new color to it.

Is there any place where I can edit department names without affecting the other properties of that department?,

You need to edit all the areas in the same department at the same time. Otherwise, you are creating a new area. You can pick each space in plan or use a schedule that has all the spaces in the same department on a single line.

I've done that but same thing happens, revit assigns a new color to the area, and I have to reassign the color, not a big deal when you have only few changes.

I thought the departments names could be edit not affecting area colors.
