shp2sql has anyone been succesful

I have been trying to use the OSGEO SHP2SQL ogr stuff to export shape files directly to my spatial tables in sql 2008. The process works very slick but map3d or mapguide do not see the tables that I convert over this way. Has anyone else tryed this?

try "Fdo2Fdo" it's a conversion program i use. I don't think you can do it directly but I believe you can get there in a conversion or two.
