I know this has probably been covered before...

1. How do you assign line weights to wall layers? Or can you?

(or)

2. If you create a wall subcategory and assign it lineweights, etc.; Can you then assign walls or wall layers to that subcategory?

I'm trying to set up my foundation plan, I have a 12" concrete wall type set up as a footing. But in plan view, I want to underlay my floor plan (which works fine) and I want solid lines for the regular walls, but dashed lines to represent the footing walls.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Worksets and or stacked plans. Look at some of the other discussions about footings and you'll find several suggesions.

I have this same question but within wall composites. It seems that the outside line of the wall gets designated by the "object Syles". What happens to the lines that represent the internal components of the wall? I see when you add a component to the wall, it has a number in []. Does that have anything to do with lineweight? If so, how do you change that? If not, how do you change the internal components lineweights?

There are essentially two line weights assigned to walls. The CUT and PROJECTION weight. When a wall is cut in section or plan the outside faces will be assigned the CUT lineweight and the interior component layers will be assigned the PROJECTION weight.

So the only control you have is to vary the projection lineweight to modify the interior lines. Individual layer control is not available at this time.
If I understand your other comment properly, the numbers you see in the wall editor control how a wall intersects with another wall. ie a 1 will merge with a 1 and a 2 will merge with a 2 etc..
