Try using reference points.

One at each point for the base, and one at the top/vertex.

Then connect the ref. points with ref. lines, and select all the ref. lines, then "create form"

cheers

**edit** or better yet, just load a pre-made one! see attached.

Our mass directory is empty. Did they come with the install? Thanks.

Yes.

From within Revit, go to Open>Family, then look here:

C:\Program Data\Autodesk\Revit 2011\Imperial Library\Mass

Please note there is another new category called Conceptual Mass, which is a separate
part of Revit's massing environment, and it contains two templates:

Conceptual Mass.rft
Adaptive Component.rft

From within Revit, go to New>Conceptual Mass to enter the Conceptual Massing Environment.

That directory exists on our company server, but it is empty. The install that is on my laptop came from the Autodesk website, and the directory does not exist. Any ideas? Thanks.

Try this:

In Windows, Go to Control Panel>Change or Remove programs>Revit and see if it has a Repair option. If so, you may need the .exe file from Adesk website on your machine,
or if older than 2011 a CD/DVD.

Other than that, a complete new install may be the only option I know of.
