Is there an option in Revit to have the total number of sheets in a project?
I want on every sheet: the sheet number and the total amount of sheets
=> sheet 3 of 5

Thanks

There is no specific label to give the total number of sheets automatically.

You could use one of the unallocated title block labels and enter the number manually. ( taken from the drawing schedule table ). You would need to manually update it if the total sheet numbers were changed, of course.

Make a drawing schedule/list, only include sheet number

look at the properties dialog and you will get down to a point where you can deselect 'itemise every instance' you can remove title, column header, you can also choose to include grand totals.

This will leave you with a single line reading Grand total: X.

Stick that over the title block and place a filled region over the 'Grand total', the problem with this method is that you need an instance of the schedule for each drawing, but there is a current thread advising on how to produce key plans using linked dwgs and a combination of these two might take you forward

Couldn't this be avoided if you were to place the schedule within your titleblock template?

Beegee, that is how I'm doing it now. Just hoped I missed something.

Maybe in a next release?

Thanks

You can't make a schedule in a sheet template.

My bad...

I currently do this by using the Project Status label within my title block template. It says "OF XX SHEETS" and updates across all sheets. Obviously not the ideal way of doing things.

Why is it that Shared Parameters do not allow type parameters? If you make a label to do this, you still have to set it on each sheet. Can't we have Shared Type Parameters?

<Sarcastic Rude Brian> I say let the contractor count the sheets himself if he needs to know how many there are in a set! <Sarcastic Rude Brian>

This seems to work for me.
