Thanks for your feedback on my last question... I have another one that I am hoping you guys can help me out with. I have a titlblock family with a text note "NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" that is toggle via the visibilty parameter. This family has two type 1)NFC - with it on 2)IFC - with it off.

What I want to do but can't seem to find a way to do it, is have that same family type but with only one type in it. Then I want to be able add a yes/no shared parameter to "NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" this way when I create a sheet list I can schedule and see which sheets are NFC. What seems to be holding be back is that I can't add a shared parameter to a visibilty control. The work around I have come up with is have a standard visibilty control parameter (instance based) which turns the text on and off then have a yes/no shared parameter that I can schedule but I would have to adjust both parameters to get it to work how I want it.

Thanks,

Francisco

The visibilty of a label in a titleblock can be associated to a family parameter, only, not to a shared parameter. Therefore, you cannot schedule a visibility control, since the yes/no parameter is a family parameter that cannot appear in schedules or tags.

What you can do, though, is set a shared parameter, such as "Issued note" (text). Then, set a label in the titleblock to display this "Issued note" text. In the project, you need to add this parameter as a project parameter that applies to sheets. Using the project browser you can enter the value of this parameter for groups of sheets; then, you can include the parameter as a field in the Sheet List schedule.
