Construction Connections

I'm a new user to Revit Architecture ... I face difficulties dealing with construction details like: connections between stairs steps and floor finishing layers, pavement curbs and road finishing layers ... plz find the attached snap shot .. any ideas ??

Welcome to the other side.

I would simply use a combination of masking regions, filled regions, detail lines and components as required to detail these sort of sections.

Firstly, the reason that these elements wont join is because they are made of different materials. You will find that if you alter them to be the same type of material, they will join nicely removing the need for masking regions and detail lines in many cases.

If you wish these to be different materials, and this may be the case depending on the level of intelligence you are building into your model, then you are left with, as Ian suggests, masking regions and detail lines.
