line work problem

I found my self doing a lot of linework to dress up Revit elevations. I use lineweight, repetitive detail lines, details components etc. on my elevations. The problem is when I change something in my model everything done with the linework get messy and I have to redo it again. This is so frustrating and somethings unproductive. Any suggestions how to solve this problem. Is there a better way to do this?
