bullet spacing from list in Mtext

I have a list in Mtext with bullets. Is there a way to adjust the distance the bullets appear in front of the text? TIA.

Make use you have the ruler showing. When you highlight the bulleted text you should see a tab mark with the arrow below it. Move both of those to move the text.

I know you can set the tab distance in the Paragraph dialog within MTEXT. Don't know of a way to make any of those setting default.
