Robot vs Etabs

Hello all,

I would like to ask if anyone who's a good Etabs user can post a structural steel model, and I will introduce it to Robot to check if the solution will be the same, or if I will be able to better optimise the structure with robot.

etabs using for rc structures usually. for steel structures uses Sap2000. im using both of them too. i will send some of my projects. but we design code and standarts havent İn etabs or sap2000 or robot2011 (turkish code) and you not verifiying project both of programs. ((ex: we calculating equal static seismic loads and response functions and combinations in hand and applying structure like as external loads)). sorry this opinion. thanks.

Etabs can design the following items
Steel Buildings (beams and columns)
Concrete Building ( Beams columns core walls and shear walls)
if you have a composite beams Etabs can design also
Etabs can Design Joist steel Floors
Etabs can Run analysis for Precast panel (zero moments at intersections between panels)

Etabs is the best of High rise Building

Should we start with a simple structure? So we can modify options to get more similar results. Then go for more complex structures.
In the attached image there is not diaphragm only beams and columns and all sections are w8x35.

check the diference with the center of rigidity.

It seems the sections of two models do not match.
Would you also describe about the load cases you have applied?

the main issue is that the diagonal bar do not give the right value for excentricity. you are free to change sections to match Etabs file.
