Tagging Beam Length

Is there a way to create a Tag for the Beam Clear Span (Cut Length Parameter in the Structural Type Parameter of a Concrete Beam).

I tried measureing the extents of the beam in the beam family and assigning that to a shared parameter. But the only result I get is the beam length in the beam family and not the actual length in the model.

Let me know if you guys have any thoughts.

Hi,
I am using an Instance Parameter, from solid sweep face to face (not from reference planes).

It usually works, but you have to double check the tags, because sometimes the tag shows the family length (p.ex. if your beam is 1100mm long in your family, it shows that value and not the updated one at the model).

Yes, it is very annoying... why this issue is not included at the wish list??? Nobody is missing the cut length parameter?
