I have a project with a linked rvt building. The linked building contains the needed project origin. I can select the origin in my project to move, but where is the origin of the linked building? How do I make it visible / selectable?

If this should be done a different way, please advise.

Thanks,
Rob

Open the actual file that you intend to link in (assuming its a revit file that is)

go to a plan view and type VG (visibility graphics)
turn on "show categories from all disciplines" and locate "site" in the VG browser.
Open this "site" tab out more, and toggle on "project base point" and "survey point"
Apply

click on these once they show in plan, and take a screen-shot of the values.
Close the file.

Open your new project, and turn on project base point, and survey point through the VG options in the same method.

Locate the relevant markers on plan and alter the values using the screen-shots to double check the values.

Also, set your "ground level" to match the linked models RL at "ground level"

Now link the other file in, and under "manage" tab select
Coordinates > Acquire coordinates
select your linked file.

This should do it
