I've been going through the help file trying to figure out the structural framing. I've been trying to find two things. One is the "standard system setback" that was referred to in another thread. The other is the "Joist System" tool. I was thinking thtat perhaps my difficulty with using the framing tools was that I was using the "Beam System" when I actually wanted to draw joists. However I appear to be pretty dense this morning as I cannot find the joist system under my structural menu. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the reply. Beams and joists not exactly being interchangeable terms I thought that they referred to different systems which I couldn't locate on the design bar. Seeing as how the structural system pays attention to the function of the elements in the model, I thought that using one system rather than the other would produce more predictable results.

From the help file:

"From the Modelling menu, choose Structural Joist System or click Joist System from the Structural tab of the Design Bar. "
