Hi, anybody got an idea on how to put a linked architectural model into the "background"? I´d like to be able to accurately pick my RST-Objects not accidentially the linked ones. I can´t find the switch. Is there any? Making the lines of the linked model transparent would also help ;-)
Your help is very much appreciated!

Use the visibility graphics to change the linetypes etc (VG or VV short cut)
to turn off the Architects model so you can work, use manage links.

Hi Martin, sorry I think I have to further specify my problem! In Revit Architecture seems to be an option to put the linked file in the background. It should work like having the linked objects as a layer lying under the actual Project. That should stop the linked objects to cover the new structure.
I´ll check that with Revit Architecture in a few minutes....
Cheers
Can´t find anything like that in 2010, don´t have Revit Architecture 2011 installed!

You are correct there is nothing like that.
Printing wise it should print with your linteypes over the top.
The later versons of revit should also override the link file. However this depends on any CAD imported elements or links that may be in a linked view.
To simply stop selecting the Architectural Model, create a design option and place the link under it.
Then you won't be able to select it unless you select the exclude design options button at the bottom of the screen (2011 only).

We have found that it does not print with the structural lines over the architectural. Any time something in the arch linked model is in line with something in our struc model, the arch link overrides in printing. Is there a way to reverse this? It makes for some poor-quality drawings.
Thanks in advance.
