defined element is not supported by the Extension

In my Revit model created from the extension I select the inverted Tee beam to reinforcet using the "reinforcement of beams" I get a “The defined element is not supported by the Extension”. This is peculiar because I used the automatic grid generator to create the elements. I loaded the family into the project from the imperial structural precast framing members library. I do not understand why it is not recognized by the extension.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Is there some place I need to define these beams.

Really, still no one?
I have since learned that when I create any precast beam shapes other than square or round such as one with sloped sides I have problems with the auto expand. And if its an “L” shaped bar but not 90deg or 45deg. Then that has a problem also. I’m thinking the issues are related. The issue may be my ignorance. Surely there is someone out there who works with precast and has done this stuff already. HELP!
