In my c:\Documents and Settings\Peter Jackson\Local Settings\Temp folder I have a series of files called revittemp3 and so on up to perhaps revittemp46. They appear not to have an extension and each take up an exact number of Megabytes, i.e. 2048kb or 65,536kb etc.

Do I need them? They are all older files and are not perfectly sequential. I'm guessing they relate to software crashes or some such and were not swept away....

I checked and I have a few too, they are very old though.. I think this garbage is best removed. I will let you know if it gives me problems (don't think so, the files date back to march this year! that was still in Revit 5.0 I'm sure)... Bit strange though that Revit leaves garbage behind on your C:..

The 65,536kb sounds like the temp file from the web install.

Really? I don't think I have installed 40 odd times. Still I shall delete them and see what happens.

I've worked all day with revit yesterday after deleting them.. (though only 3 recent files orso) -no problems-
