Whenever i start a New drawing, i can't seem to find my pen settings (ctb files)....tho in the Plot Style Table, all the files have an stb prefix to them. I've checked on my Options and the settings are still the same but my Plot Styles aren't showing up....any suggestions?

Sounds like the .dwt file used as the template for a new dwg is setup for style based plotting. Either edit the .dwt to make it color based (Convertpstyles command), use a differtent template file for new dwgs or just use the Convertpstyles command on the new dwg.

Fix your template drawing(s) so that they are configured to use CTB files.

it sounds like your template is set up to use stb as opposed to ctb.

To set a plot style table type for new drawings
Click Tools menu http://forums.augi.com/ms-its:C:%5CAUTODESK%5CHELP%5Cacad_aug.chm::/images/ac.menuaro.gif Options. At the command prompt, enter options.
In the Options dialog box, Plot and Publish tab, click the Plot Style Table Settings button.
In the Plot Style Table Settings dialog box, select Use Color-dependent Plot Styles or Use Named Plot Styles.
(Optional) In the Default Style Table box, select a default plot style table.
(Optional) If Use Named Plot Styles is selected, select plot styles to assign to Layer 0 and to new objects.
Click OK. NoteSetting plot style table types for new drawings does not affect existing drawings.

you may need to change these settings in your default template for it to take effect in all future drawings

That is because that setting is only for pre-R2000 drawings or drawings created with no template.
