New Scheme with Workset file

I need to make a second scheme with a file that has been set up for worksets. Am I going to create problems by taking an existing central file and "saving as" to create the second scheme?

Shouldn't.

Need to make sure you tell Revit to make it a new Central File using the Options button in the saveas command. Are you using worksets to share work or just for additional control? If sharing you just need to make sure your other users make new local copies of the new central file too.

Have you thought about creating your second scheme within the same project using either worksets or phases?

Each method has it's limitations, depending on the complexity of going from scheme 'a" to scheme "b", but it does help in not having to keep track of changes in two project files.
