I modeled some grade beams w/ structural beam family out of box.
but, they act weirdly sometime, sometimes, when I click that beam, the 2 end points (the blue dot) are at the correct location, but the beam is chopped in the middle, see the attached image. what is they way to correct this? Big headache now~~~

Check in properties for the start and / or end section extensions. Set that to 0 and use the align tool to align the edges. It should stretch correctly then.

I did not see the property you mentioned.
are you talking about those "start release" "end release"? I tried to change them to user defined, but it did not do anything. What about those "Start Mx/My?mz"?
