Stair Nosing Graphic

I have made a new profile for a stair nosing and added it to my satir. In 3d view and section view the noising shows correctly, but it will not show up in the plan view. Any Ideas?

I believe generally Revit renders stairs in plan with a line representing the outer-most extent of your nosing profile, and doesn't differentiate between the nosing profile itself and the rest of the stair tread. I'm not sure if there's a way to change that.

*edit* actually the nosing profile merely changes the shape of the tread's leading edge. It doesn't create any separate solids in the stair construction. Even if you create a profile that extends above the tread surface (never allowed by code, though), it still doesn't show any extra edge lines in plan view. The only lines shown are that of the extreme outer edge of the nosing profile.
