In RA 2009 I could extrude a profile along the top of a wall that its profile was modified (like an arch top) and give the mass a material like LW Concrete. When I do something similar in RA 2010, it only asks me if I want to do a mass floor of the object. Any suggestions?

You need to do an in-place component to create the wall cap. Use a sweep and pick the edges and give the solid a material.
This is how it should have been done for all current and previous versions. You shouldn't use a mass to represent something like a precast wall cap.

but (wall) sweep won't appear in material takeoff weather it's embedded in wall or not, correct me if i'm wrong, it's not an issue if you don't have to do quantity stuff.

I see what I was doing. This helps a ton. Thanks so much.
