surface patterns and visiblity

i have assigned my slabs surface patterns to differentiate between different slab elevations. I would like to turn these off in all other drawings except for my slab plan. Is this possible? or how would i do something like this?

Yes. floor surface pattern is a sub-category of the floor object. It can be turned on/off per view.
