Design Options remaining in view

Hi,
I have a file I'm working on, putting in some design options. I'm doing 2 options. The strange thing is that Option 1 is remaining visible when I'm creating / editing Option 2. The elements in both options have a phase of "New Construction", not that it should make a difference if they are created in a Design Option.
Any ideas as to why they're remaining visible and how to hide them?

Can you tell which version of Revit you are using?

Probably the elements you have on Option 1 was also added to your Option 2. Maybe you have to exclude these elements or try to make a new option and "add to set" only elements you want to be included in your alternative option.

Hi Brian,
I'm sorry to say I'm only on 2009 (the office is delaying installing 2011...don't ask).
I've been fiddling with it, and I'm able to get the right response by having differing OPTIONS, whereas before I had them as different OPTION SETS. I think I may need to read back on this area again.
