View Full Version : stacked wall -- cutting too high?

i built a stacked wall for my 2x4 frame wall atop an 8" concrete foundation wall. everything seems fine, although when i go to my foundation plan (cut thru the foundation portion of the wall) my plan view represents both the 5" thickness of the stud wall and the 8" thickness of the foundation wall, and the 5" stud wall is darkened as a cut line, while the 8" foundation wall line is lighter, shown as beyond. i am, however, cutting thru the foundation wall.

anyone know why this might be doing this? is there some function of the stacked wall that i'm not properly understanding? i'd like to be able to show my foundation plan without redrawing anything.

thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

Its not stacked walls as much as the face that it is possible that if the foundation wall portion is less than 5' (sorry, in US) it will always sidisplay differently. IT displays lighter, as if it is ALWAYS below your cut plane/view point.
