Drafting detail lines vrs Phasing?

I have some linework that I would like to be associated with new construction phase only. However, this linework also appears when the existing phase only is turned on. Is their a way to work around this? Thanks

If you use model lines instead of detail lines you can place them on a phase.

Each view has a phase. Drafting lines are view based. So they inherit the phase of the view they are placed in. Have one view as existing. One as new. Draw drafting lines ion each as appropriate.
