Stair Stringer Channels

Summary: Provide a more rebust and flexible stair tool that allows better customization for stringer size and shape.

Description: I wish Revit included Channel stringers in its' stair families.

How Used: Stairs in industrial locations are typically constructed with stringers made from C10x15.3 (or similar) shapes. Revit currently does not have an easy way of creating these stairs.

I try to stick with the normal rectangular solid for stair stringers, set to the actual size of the channel stringers (if known) to keep the model more lightweight. If the channels will be exposed and you want to them to look correct in elevation and section, just use a hand rail type set to a channel profile.

Rather than specifically channels I would like to see the ability to assign a profile to the stringers.

Description: I wish Revit included Channel stringers in its' stair families. We (and others) do a lot of industrial work. Stairs in factories and plants typically have stringers mad of channels (C10s) with pipe hand rails and grated steel steps. It would be great to have a default Revit stair family reflecting these components.
