Modle line 'level'

when you use a model line, what controls the level it gets displayed at? I'm using some creative view ranges and sometimes I can tell that the lines aren't showing up because of that. Can I adjust where they are placed?

They go on whatever is the current work plane in the view. You can click Home > Show work plane to see it and mouse over it to check what the work plane is, or just click Set to specify or pick a new work plane.
