Transparent floor slab

I know there's a simple answer but have look at the attached image. I have a floor slab that is showing transparent yet it has the same material applied as the floor below (which you can see as solid) - the material has no transparency. Both are the same element and same phase etc. As you can see I have it selected and you can just make it out so it's not something that is graphically turned off or invisible.

Why is it not solid? any ideas?

Out of interest try painting selecting the solid floor and see what happens.

Not much else springs immediately to mind, but will think a bit more.
